My Seagull SG CW Cedar/rosewood acoustic guitar from Quebec, Canada.
The Seagull SG CW incorporates a variety of woods, including a cedar top and rosewood back and sides. The soft thin cedar top resonates strongly, while the rosewood timber is just so warm.
This Crow Hill Custom built electric guitar (made by Erik Smith in Iowa USA, completed December 2021) is essentially my dream guitar!
No decision around this guitar's construction was taken lightly, with everything from the all koa wood body to the Curly Maple Neck and Ebony Fretboard being the result of painstaking deliberations.
I was always drawn to the unique sound of these slide guitars from the likes of Ben Harper (Pleasure and Pain was the initial draw), Xavier Rudd etc.
I think I felt in a rut musically and this helped reignite my desire to play and learn new music. Oh and Tim Kill’s workmanship is supreme!
A secondhand guitar bought in April 2020, this guitar was played heavily throughout Covid Lockdowns until the end of 2021 when my Crow Hill Guitar arrived.
After a trip to Mexico for four nights of Phish (which re-ignited my passion for electric guitar in a huge way), I played this for hours most days.
