Seagull SG CW Acoustic

Cedar/rosewood acoustic guitar from Quebec, Canada

My Seagull SG CW

I acquired this beautiful Seagull SG CW back in 2001 after a house fire in which I lost all of my instruments. You can just imagine the heartbreak of losing all such priceless memories…

Thankfully, the past few decades has allowed me to develop new happy memories, many of them featuring this Seagull guitar on my lap! Made in Quebec Canada, as with all Seagull Guitars, the workmanship on this instrument is second-to-none. The build on the Seagull SG CW guitar differs to their most popular Seagull S6 design.

Cedar / Rosewood Acoustic Guitar

The Seagull SG CW incorporates a variety of woods, including a cedar top and rosewood back and sides. The soft thin cedar top resonates strongly, while the rosewood timber is just so warm. Using this combination of tonewoods results in a deep and memorable tone which is perfect for an acoustic guitar. Compared to spruce, for example, cedar is not quite so dense, resulting in a warm sonic palette.

I’ve played countless hours on this guitar and it’s been everywhere with me for over 20 years now, taking in festivals and countries all over the world! This guitar has my blood, sweat and tears soaked into its grain.
