My Custom Built Crow Hill Electric

This Crow Hill Custom built electric guitar (made by Erik Smith in Iowa USA, completed December 2021) is essentially my dream guitar! Here's the full rundown on the entire build – it was quite the journey.

No decision around this guitar's construction was taken lightly, with everything from the all koa wood body to the Curly Maple Neck and Ebony Fretboard being the result of painstaking deliberations.

A Hollow Body Guitar à la Trey Anastasio (Phish)

Inspired by the custom guitar of Trey Anastasio (Phish), this real carved hollow body really sings and totally nails the beautiful sustain/feedback blooms I always dreamt of.

The neck is a 25.5” scale length (just like a Fender strat), but with a full hollowbody build like a jazz guitar.

The Crow Hill signature sound holes go a long way to giving this guitar its full, warm and inviting sound

Although I'm just starting my journey with playing this guitar, I'm already very much in love!
